\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\CloakLink Install Instructions\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

PLEASE READ: CloakLink is designed to be incredibly easy to
install if the directions are followed. Follow the steps
below to ensure a successful setup.

Before we begin:
CloakLink will arrive as a zip file, please unzip before you
commence the install.

Side Note:
By default, CloakLink comes in a folder named 'cloaklink'. This folder
name determines how the links will look. Please feel free to name this
folder as fitting.

For example, if you leave the folder as 'cloaklink', your links will look
like this:
www.YOURSITE.com/cloaklink/games

If you changed the folder name from 'cloaklink' to 'links', your link would
look like this:
www.YOURSITE.com/links/games

If you do decide to change the folder name, please follow the instructions
below replacing each instance of the word 'cloaklink' with your new folder
name.

Basic Install:

Step 1:Change the Permissions (CHMOD) on the file 'config-generic.php'and
the folder itself to 777. If you do not know what permissions are
please look refer to our FAQ's.

Step 2: Upload/FTP the cloaklink folder into the root
folder of your website.

Step 3: Open a browser and type in the URL bar:
http://www.YOURSITE.COM/cloaklink/install.php
and press enter.

Step 4: Enter your database information.
DB HOST = localhost
DB Username = database username
DB Password = database user password
DB Name = Name of the database
Error URL = a default URL of your choice for erroneous links
to redirect to. Generally your homepage URL.
Admin Password = your CloakLink password (write this one down)

** If you do not know how to create a database or retrieve your
database information, please refer to our help center HERE.

Step 5: Click Install. You should see a screen that reads:
Installation Successful - You may now add links at
Admin Control Panel

If you receive an error message, double check the database
information you used is accurate.

Step 6: CloakLink is officially installed! Simply type in:
http://www.YOURSITE.com/cloaklink/admin.php
and login with the password you chose during setup.
